Step 19: Flip it over and do the same thing to the other side (folding the right flap over to the left). Step 18: Take the top layer of the right flap and fold it over to the left. Step 17: Flip the paper over and do the same thing to the other side. Step 16: Take the bottom flap and fold it over to the top like you see in the picture. Step 15: Flip the whole piece over and do the same to the other side (folding the right flap over to the left). Step 14: Take the right flap and fold it over to the left. Step 13: Turn the paper over and do the same thing to the other side. Step 12: Take the upper layer of both sides and fold the lower parts into the center like you see in the picture. It should look like this when you're done. Step 11: Flip it over and repeat steps 8 to 10. Step 10: Fold the left and right sides inward. This step is preparation for the next step. Step 8: Take both sides of the top layer and fold them in to meet at the middle, then unfold. Crease the sides so you can fold the top corner down to the bottom. Step 7: Grab the left and right side of the flap and open it up. Step 6: To do that, lift the left flap up so it stands vertically like the picture. Step 5: Now we'll turn the paper over and do the same thing to the other side. Step 4: Take the top flap and open it, creasing the left and right sides so you can fold the the top/right corner to the bottom corner Step 3: Fold the triangle in half by taking the left corner and folding it to the right. The crease should run from the left corner tip to the right like in this picture. Step 2: Fold the paper in half by taking the top corner and folding it to the bottom corner. If you only have regular 8.5x11 paper, follow these instructions to make a square sheet. Finally, fold the tip of the head down and pull the wings out gently.Step 1: Start with a square piece of origami paper. Then, fold wings down so you can just see the body. Next, grab the upper layer of the bottom point and fold it up so the bottom tip touches the top points. Turn the shaper over and repeat the process. ![]() ![]() At this point, both flaps should be on the left-hand side. Fold the entire right flap over the central line, as if you were turning the page of a book. Next, grab the point on the upper layer of the right side and fold the bottom outside edge inwards towards the central line. At this point, your paper should look like one tall, skinny diamond with two legs at the bottom. Carefully, crease and flatten the paper.Flip the paper over, and repeat the process to create another long, skinny diamond. From there, fold the topmost layer of the bottom point all the way up so that the left and right flaps naturally fold in, creating a long, narrow diamond shape. Then, unfold the top corner and the previous two triangles to return to the small diamond shape you created. Fold the top of the diamond down so the crease lies along the horizontal line created by the previous two triangles. Then, fold the top corners to the bottom and press the sides in so the paper is folded up in a small diamond Next, grab the upper layer of the right side and fold the bottom edge to the center crease. To fold an origami paper crane, start by folding a square piece of paper in half vertically, horizontally, and diagonally, unfolding after each fold.
